Jeremy’s Birthday

March 30, 2011

Yes, I still remember the lively, bouncing boy we raised. Hard to forget pure energy. He made quite an impact on my life as his dad. I think the closer I get to heaven, the more I’m excited to be seeing him again. It has been ten years since his last Birthday celebration here on earth. And to answer everybody’s number one question, “Yes, it still is a big heartache to not have him around for the last ten years.” Parents aren’t supposed to outlive their Children, is the altruism. It’s just not normal. But we still have our three precious daughters. I get to spend this day with my oldest daughter, Jennifer. She is such a blessing. Everywhere we ride I hear “Teachah, teachah” being yelled towards her vehicle. She is known int he whole community as “Teacher.” Jessica is our grandchild producer, and a wonderful wife and mother to Brad. She can probably do more things in one week that would take anyone else a month  (or me a year). And our youngest, Bethany, is such a blessing to me and Debbie as we grow older. She is always so faithful and even sacrificial to help us meet our growing needs. Ah, “family,” does it get any better than that? I don’t think so.

One day your tears will be in God’s bottle, but joy cometh in the morning. This will all be over one day. God bless you and Debbie and the family. It will all be over one day. — Herb Evans

Who knows, maybe we’ll all be seeing him soon!

Oh, how I miss that boy! Hard to fathom that he would be 25 years old now — if he had not graduated to Heaven already.

Yeah, he was a wonderful young man. Thank you Cyndy for your friendship. And thank you for the remembrance of making him hug you. That’s a good illustration for any sermon.
